This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application at https://optionwheeltracker.app.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name and email address (via Google Sign-In only)
• Profile photo from your Google account
• Trade data you manually enter — option trades, premiums, strike prices, expiry dates
• Broker names and fee preferences you configure
• CSV files you upload for trade history import
• Notes, tags, and journal entries you add to campaigns
• Your chosen home currency and display preferences

Information collected automatically:

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of access
• Device information: hardware model, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage data: features used, session duration, errors encountered
• Session cookies required for authentication

Information from third parties:

• Google OAuth provides your name, email, and profile photo when you sign in
• Financial data APIs provide delayed stock prices and foreign exchange rates — these are not linked to your identity

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Calculate Adjusted Cost Basis and portfolio analytics based on your trade data
• Process CSV imports and link trades to your campaigns
• Send in-app notifications such as expiry reminders and ACB milestone alerts
• Respond to your support requests and questions
• Monitor and analyse usage to improve the Service
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised access
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes. We do not share your trade data with any financial institution, broker, or advertiser.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).

Access to your data is protected by:

• Row Level Security (RLS): Every database query is scoped to your authenticated user ID. No other user can query, view, or access your data under any circumstances.
• Google OAuth authentication — we never store your password
• Secure session management via Supabase Auth tokens

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
• If you delete your account, all data — trades, campaigns, import logs, notifications — is permanently deleted within 30 days
• Database backups may retain deleted data for up to 90 days before being permanently overwritten
• Aggregated, anonymised analytics data with no personal identifiers may be retained indefinitely for service improvement

6. Cookies

We use cookies solely to:

• Maintain your authenticated session (required for the app to function)
• Remember your display preferences such as currency and date format

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If you disable session cookies in your browser, you will not be able to use the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Google OAuth — sign-in only (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Frankfurter.app — foreign exchange rates (no personal data is sent to this service)

We do not integrate with any brokerage APIs. We do not connect to or transmit any data to your broker.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — export all your trades and data in CSV or JSON format (available in Settings)
• Objection — object to certain processing activities

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. International Users

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your data on the basis of contractual necessity to provide the Service you requested and legitimate interest for security and service improvement purposes.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of significant changes by posting a revised policy with an updated effective date and displaying an in-app notification on your next login. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
